Where is funk volume

Over the weekend, Hopsin first made noise that he was having issues with his business partner and Funk Volume co-founder Damien Ritter. At this point, if he doesn't leave Funk Volume, then I will. While the Funk Volume breakup seems real, there is a slight chance that the whole ordeal is a hoax. In , the former XXL Freshman made a major announcement on his social media when he declared that he was quitting rap and moving to Australia.

The rapper was pulling a prank and used the attention to make news that his album Pound Syndrome would be dropping soon. Hopsin Is Leaving Funk Volume. Funk volume is officially dead now thanks to the monster Damien Ritter.

There is nobody else to blame at all. I have officially separated myself from everything and I am fully independent now. It's very sad but idiots like dame wanna control too Much and now he end up destroying a great fuckin team.

Having a crew like FV has been my vision since I was 14 years old and this man just destroyed it. They will forever be my brothers and I support them in whatever they do. I will let u guys know the full story soon. You know ama keep it RAW for real. Ain't no holdin back. Im so sorry to all the FV fans. There's a brighter future though. The world finally catches up with alternative artist Johnny Drille. He breaks down his journey for Audiomack World. For his part, Damien Ritter has so far stayed completely silent, he hasn't updated any of his social media channels since New Year's Day, and Funk Volume's official social media channels have yet to acknowledge any trouble at all, let alone a break-up.

Hopsin came to appreciate that Ritter knew the workings of the industry more and trusted him with the business side of the label. It was Ritter who constantly churned business ideas that Hopsin thought were genius. Ritter could also not ignore the raw talent that Hopsin brought on board.

Since, at first, the label did not have a lot of resources, Hopsin helped them get by coming up with his own album, having done all the work. However, it took a while before Hopsin could allow Ritter in; with a history of being thrown under the bus, it was logical for him to take his time to get to trust Ritter. In , the label discovered the talent of Dizzy Wright, who had been admiring Hopsin performing. Funny enough, when Funk Volume also saw Wright perform, they were impressed with his stage presence and his rap style.

So they signed him up and got him to start recording. With time, Funk Volume also signed Jarred Benton to the label after seeing him online and becoming impressed by his work. Wright bragged that before him, Funk Volume was yet to sign any contracts.

Wright especially had many haters who did not bother to hide how unfit they thought he was to be with Funk Volume. With time he developed his own fan base. By , Funk Volume had a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Despite the distribution deal with Warner Bros, Wright claimed they were not happy with the results. He was used to independence, but the distribution deal had them turning their projects earlier constantly.

Yet, when it did not meet the expectations of Warner Bros, excuses started. Unfortunately, it got to a point where everyone was frustrated, and Wright said he felt Funk Volume was not going all out for the good of the label. Still, he hoped the internal issues they were undergoing could be fixed.

Ritter shared the same hope, saying that they were on the brink of something more unique, but miscommunication happened.
